Pear and Chocolate Crumble

Preparation time 15 minutes Cooking time 30 minutes Serving number: 4 Ingredients:

3 Pear (well ripened)
3 tbsps Brown sugar
1 tbsp Lemon juice, fresh
60 g Semi sweet chocolate morsels
50 g Rolled oat
50 g All purpose flour
3 tbsps Desiccated coconut (dried shredded coconut)
60 g Butter, unsalted (melted)

Preparation steps

Pre-heat the oven to 180°C/350°F
Peel and core the pears and cut into small cubes. Place in a greased ovenproof dish. Sprinkle over 1 tablespoon of brown sugar (reserve the rest for later), 1 tablespoon of lemon juice and the Semi-sweet morsels. Mix well together.
In another bowl mix together the remaining 2 tablespoons of brown sugar, the rolled oats, flour and the desiccated coconut. Add the melted butter and mix well.
Spread the crumble topping over the pears and chocolate in an even layer. Bake at 180°C/350°C for 25-30 minutes.
Serve hot or cold.

Kurosaki Ichigo	is the main character of Bleach, who received Shinigami (Death God) powers from a female Shinigami named Kuchiki Rukia. The power came at a cost, as by making Ichigo a Shinigami, Rukia’s powers were lost. Ichigo lives with his father, Kurosaki Isshin, and two sisters, Yuzu and Karin. His mother Kurosaki Masaki was killed by a hollow while protecting young Ichigo from being attacked by a Hollow. Ichigo was born with the ability to see and communicate with ghosts and spirits; as such he was able to see Rukia in her Shinigami form. Ichigo also possess an immense amount of reiatsu (spirit power), which he cannot control well. Due to that, his spirit power is constantly “leaking”, which affects the spiritually-aware people around him. Ichigo’s friends such as Inoue Orihime, Sado Yasutora (Chad) and Ishida Uryuu, are all positively affected by his strong spirit power.
Urahara Kisuke	is the owner of the Urahara Shoten (Urahara Shop), and it is ran by Urahara himself together with Ururu Tsumugiya, Jinta Hanakari and Tessai Tsukabishi. Most of the time, Urahara is very cheerful and appears to be a very laid-back person, although he can get serious whenever the situation warrants it. He also gives the feeling of mystery and elusiveness. Throughout the series, he is a very “behind-the-scene” character, popping in only when necessary, and never intervened directly. And hence the series has yet to show him fighting someone for real. The reason why Urahara seems to be so knowledgeable is due the fact that he was the former captain of the Gotei 13’s 12th Division, and was also creator and head of the Shinigami Research Institute. After being sentenced to exile for creating an untraceable gigai (faux body), his positions were taken over by Mayuri Kurotsuchi. And ever since then, he has stayed in the real world, tending to his Urahara Shoten.
Kuchiki Rukia	is a Shinigami (Death God) from the Soul Society. During a Hollow attack, she was forced to give up her Shinigami powers to Kurosaki Ichigo, which made it necessary for her to stay in a gigai (faux body) while she recuperates. Back in Soul Society, Rukia was previously from a lower class. When she was young, she spent much of her time together with Abarai Renji and the rest of their childhood friends. But after she was admitted into the Shinigami Academy, she became adopted into the noble Kuchiki family by Kuchiki Byakuya, and her friendship with Renji became distant. Rukia was then placed under the command of Captain Jushiro Ukitake and Lieutenant Kaien Shiba of the 13th Division. After spending some time under Kaien, she became close to him. She even had romantic feelings for him, but she tried to suppress them as she knew Kaien was happily married to Miyako, who’s coincidently someone she admired most. Therefore as Byakuya mentioned at one point, the reason why Rukia felt such a close bond to Ichigo was probably due to his strong resemblance to Kaien. Rukia has a serious personality and is often seen nagging at Ichigo. She is also stubborn at times.
Sado Yasutora, also known as Chad,	is the classmate and friend of Kurosaki Ichigo. Chad is a huge and muscular teenager who was brought up in Mexico. He is also extremely tough, protecting Ichigo with his body from punches, recovering from a steel girder falling onto him, and colliding with a motorcycle and still able to carry the motorcyclist to the hospital. Although physically strong, Chad is actually a very quiet and gentle person. Chad was born in Okinawa, Japan. But during his youth, his parents took him to Mexico. Unfortunately, they died there and Chad was left all alone, until he was adopted by a man named Oscar Joaquin de la Rosa. Chad calls him Abuelo (grandfather in Spanish). During his youth, Chad was very violent due to his strength and size. Abuelo tried to teach him to be gentle, but was unsuccessful. Until one day, Chad was getting beat badly and Abuelo stepped in to protect him. Abuelo stood there, taking every punch and never fought back. Eventually the enemies left, and Chad vowed that from that day on he’ll never fight, unless it is to protect others. Chad has a tattoo on his left shoulder that reads “Amore e Morte” (Love and Death). It is made up of a heart, a snake and a pair of angel wings around the heart. Chad is also known to be fairly good with his studies in school.

TRIGUN Character Profiles

Vash the Stampede (aka The Humanoid Typhoon)	Main character of Trigun, also known as The Humanoid Typhoon.He is the first person to be declared "an act of God" or "a human disaster." He is initially discovered by Meryl and Milly while being chased by some bandits who want to collect the $$60 billion bounty on his head. He escapes and Milly and Meryl eventually learn that this is the person they are assigned to track. Vash the Stampede also has a sad past that involves his brother destroying a whole SEEDs ship with the crew, along with Rem Saverem.
Meryl Stryfe	Although she doesn't often fight alongside Vash, she hides many derringer-style "throwaway" pistols under her coat. She once referred to herself as "Derringer Meryl". Initially, she finds Vash to be a nuisance and dismisses the idea that he is the legendary Humanoid Typhoon. As time passes, she realizes that Vash isn't the villain that he is made out to be nor the buffoon that he presents himself to be. Gradually, she comes to respect Vash and love him deeply.
Milly Thompson	Milly Thompson is a fellow Bernardelli agent and friend and assistant to Meryl. Despite physically towering over Meryl, Milly looks up to her Although physically very strong, she appears rather simple and ditzy, but has an extremely kind heart and also reveals a strength of character and genuine optimism. However, Milly can be just as hotheaded as Meryl if someone is disrespectful towards their family (or wasting food, especially pudding). She can seem somewhat dim, but she has some amazing skills (chess playing, for one) which hint at a deeply buried intelligence. She seemed to pick up on the fact that Vash is the notorious Stampede before Meryl, but she is apparently still somewhat surprised upon realizing that she was correct. Milly comes from a very large family, and writes letters to them constantly (known as "The Milly Monthly"). Somehow Milly manages to hide a very heavy concussion gun (referred to as a "stun-gun") under her coat. The shots, which pop out into the shape of an X-shaped claw, are so powerful they can even knock over trucks. At one point Milly refers to herself as "Stun-gun Milly".

InuYasha is about a half-demon called InuYasha, and a girl with a secret named Kagome. Oh, and many other demons that are trying to get Kagome, of course. Kagome has been implanted with the Jewel of Four Souls [Shikon no Tama] from her previous incarnation, Kikyou. And if that wasn't enough, she has also finds herself beening sucked into a magic well, only to land way back in the time of her ancestors. Shortly afterwards, Mistress Centipede, a giant centipede-like demon, attacks, and she reluctantly releases InuYasha to help defeat it. Unfortunately, after the demon is taken care of, InuYasha goes after Kagome for the jewel.

Ichigo Kurosaki has always been able to see ghosts, but this ability doesn't change his life nearly as much as his close encounter with Rukia Kuchiki, a Soul Reaper and member of the mysterious Soul Society. While fighting a Hollow, an evil spirit that preys on humans who display psychic energy, Rukia attempts to lend Ichigo some of her powers so that he can save his family, but much to her surprise, Ichigo absorbs every last drop of her energy. Now a full-fledged Soul Reaper himself, Ichigo quickly learns that the world he inhabits is one full of dangerous spirits, and along with Rukia, who is slowly regaining her powers, it's Ichigo's job to both protect the innocent from Hollows and to help the spirits themselves find peace.

One day, cards began to fall from the sky and were picked up by kids all over the world. The cards featured different characters, different environments, and different powers. Kids created a popular battle game not knowing that these cards actually corresponded to an alternate world called Vestroia. Kids from all over the world played with the cards, yet 6 kids stood out: Dan, Marucho, Runo, Shun, Julie and Alice. They named the monsters “Bakugans” and their elite team the “Bakugan Battle Brawlers”. Vestroia is a vast dimension comprised of 6 attribute worlds: Fire, Earth, Light, Darkness, Water and Wind. At the very centre of this universe there are two opposing energy cores; THE INFINITY CORE, the source of all positive energy and… THE SILENT CORE, the source of all negative energy. Throughout history, these two opposing forces had maintained the balance of equilibrium in Vestroia.

However, there was one rogue Bakugan who lusted for control, and schemed to seize all of the power for himself. His name was Naga and his mission was to penetrate the silent core and seize its power.

Meanwhile, back on Earth a scientist named Michael had been working on a dimension transportation device. During testing of the machine, an explosion sucked him in and led him to Vestroia where he discovered the two energy cores. While trying to return to earth, he was pulled in by the evil energy of the Silent Core and became the villain known as “Hal G”. While in Vestroia, Hal G encountered the Bakugan Naga, and the two made a deal - Hal G would give Naga the human world in exchange for his control over Vestroia!

Naga eventually succeeded in his goal of reaching the silent core and began to absorb its negative energy. However, the negative energy proved too much for Naga to handle. The negative energy exploded and the Infinity Core fell to earth. Vestroia erupted in pandemonium; the negative power overwhelming the minds and wills of the Bakugan who live there.

As Vestroia begun to collapse, the human world is also affected. The “Infinity Core” and “the Silent Core” are interfering with one another and starting to run wild. Now it is up to Dan and the other Battle Brawlers to find the Infinity Core and reunite it with the Silent Core to restore balance. What these young warriors initially thought was just a game has become a race to restore peace throughout the universe!
