Full Metal Alchemist is about two brothers (Edward and Alphonse Elric) who are traveling across the world trying to find the philosopher's Stone so they can use it's power to regain their lost limbs (Ed's Right arm and left leg and Al's entire body) which were sacrificed in an attempt to bring their mother back to life using alchemy (a taboo). They use military resources by joining and becoming a "Dog Of The Military" under Roy Mustang, a fire using alchemist who works Ed's butt off.
